(Bratislav Jovanovic, a 43-year-old homeless man, enters a grave that he
uses as a shelter during winter time at a cemetery in Nis, Serbia, on
Jan. 10. Jovanovic has been homeless since his house burned down nearly
20 years ago. The last 15 years he has lived in a tomb beside the
caskets of his decedents.)
This picture for me is just a little too close for comfort. Although i feel it helps him not have such hatred for his life if he knows he can sleep every night beside his deceased family. After his tragedy of his home i feel he may find this area comforting and safe. This shot is just wonderful i think, the way his color pops out of the cold picture and the old vibe you get from the graveyard is just a wonderful construction of a shot.

Battle Scarred (TWIP)
This picture was posted in the This Week in Pictures segment on the nbcmews.com website. I look at these pictures mostly every week and almost every time that intrigue me. There will be pictures of unusual things that go on in different parts of the world or there will be pictures of big world events such as presidential elections, crisis in third world countries or even war. Each week there are about 10-18 pictures posted and there are always a few that stand out to me. this one is labeled. Battle Scarred, it shows A Free Syrian Army fighter who is walking between buildings damaged during Syrian
Air Force air strikes in the Haresta neighborhood of Damascus, on January. 19. This picture to me is very powerful and moving. I believe it shows how this man is mourning the remains of the building, it doesn't say he worked there or that they had any sentimental value to him. I think to anyone, seeing the torn up and shredded buildings would make anyone's heart jump. I think of this as if i were walking through there, not to me but to other people, these buildings may have meaned something. It may have been where they lived, worked anything. i just think of the other people and try and put myself in there shoes and realize what it would be like for me. I will try and post at least one of these pictures per week of one of the photos but if anyone has a specific picture or even ones from the past please let me know. Thanks
